What? Whether you’ve always been curious about meditation or you’ve done it for years, you are welcome to join us as we seek to cultivate skillful reactions to joy and suffering. The meditation techniques we will explore aim at developing lovingkindness, compassion, sympathetic joy (in others’ success), and equanimity. We will also discuss the biblical foundations for these meditations (Matthew 22:37-40, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, and Romans 12: 9-19, for example). The name “Agape Sangha” comes from the Greek word “Agape,” the radical love God shows us and which we try to extend to others, and “Sangha,” the Buddhist word for community and a group of meditators. Intrigued but still confused? Join us!
