Worship Service

We worship together every Sunday morning at 10:30am. Our worship is a little different every week, but it is always spirit-led and full of life and love. We have Holy Communion on first Sundays of the month and Healing Prayer on third Sundays of the month. All are welcome to come for prayer or communion, no matter your age or spiritual path. (It’s also ok for you to stay at your seat and observe or pray—whatever feels right.)

Come just as you are

Here people feel welcome wearing anything from suits to jeans and t-shirts – so please come in whatever makes you comfortable. Our main entrance is on 7th Ave, and we have an entrance on 13th St for those who have difficulty with stairs. You can help yourself to coffee, receive a bulletin, and make yourself at home in any pew.

Bring the kids

All children are very welcome in worship. We promise no one will look at you funny if your child squirms or cries. We love hearing kids in church and most children really enjoy being in our worship services. For those who may not love it so much, an usher can provide your child with crayons and coloring sheets. Infants and younger children are also welcome to join our Kids Room, where teachers will guide them through age-appropriate Christian activities.

Worship and be welcomed

The service starts off with a few songs and prayers. Each week a member of the congregation guides us through the service. Near the beginning of the service, someone will invite anyone who is new to stand and introduce themselves. We know this can be a little weird for some people. If you don’t feel like standing, then it’s totally ok to stay seated! After this, we “pass the peace” and greet those around us. If you like hugs, this is the time to get them. If you don’t want a hug just stick your hand out, and you’ll get lots of super-welcoming handshakes. We deeply treasure community and look forward to this moment every week. The service continues with scripture readings, a sermon, an offering, and a few more songs. Our services are usually about 90 minutes long.

Stay in touch

If it’s the 1st or 2nd or even the 10th time that you join us, we hope you will fill out a welcome card with your contact information. We will not put you on a scary mailing list, but you will receive a nice note from our office and—if you live in the area—an email and invitation to coffee from one of our pastors. We hope you will visit our Welcome Table at the back of the sanctuary, where a welcomer will be ready to answer any questions that you might have about the church.
